Boots Riley, Mastermind hinter Epitaph Hip Hop Act THE COUP hat eine neue Campagne gegen den Krieg im Iraq gestartet. Riley bittet die Leute, den Anit-Krieg Song "Captain Sterling’s Little Problem" aus dem Internet runterzuladen und dann entweder per E-Mail oder als gebrannte CD zu Leuten in der Military nach Iraq zu senden.
Der Track featured Gitarrist Tom Morello. Boots erklärt:
"I have this suggestion: the soldiers should demand to be returned home, using any means necessary to make this happen, This would lead to a swift end to this war, saving countless lives, both U.S. and Iraqi… Congress hasn’t done more than give lip service to wanting the war to end. The people that are directly affected by this war are going to have to act."
"Captain Sterling’s Little Problem" wurde ursprünglich aufgenommen für den Film "Sir! No Sir!," David Zieger’s Dokumentation über den Vietnam Krieg. Inspiriert von den geschichten, die im Film erzählt werden, meint Boots: "At one point a Pentagon report deemed half of the soldiers in Vietnam were ‘mutinous and not to be trusted’." Weiterhin sagt er "the largely unreported G.I. rebellions played a very important role in stopping the Vietnam war."
