MTV hat berichtet, dass sich die Platin-Pop Punker von FALL OUT BOY bereits im Juni ins Studio begeben wollen um an ihrem zweiten Album für Island Records und somit dem Nachfolger von "From Under the Cork Tree" zu arbeiten.

Bassist Pete Wentz hierzu:

"We're going to finish this [Black Clouds and Underdogs Tour], head to the U.K, and then start recording the new record on June 7. We're doing it in L.A. again. ... Neal Avron is going to be at the helm for eight or nine songs, and then Babyface will do three songs, We've got 14 or 15 songs to bring into the studio, and we're going to look to have the thing in stores in late fall/ early winter.

I can't tell you the title yet, but it's gonna further polarize people. You're going to either love it or hate it, because it's a commentary on the scene. It's more conceptual than the last one."

Wentz hofft auf Features von MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE und TAKING BACK SUNDAY, von einem Raperr, der jedoch in diesem Fall nicht rappt ist ebenfalls die Rede.
