"My abuela played a huge role during my childhood. I would spend hours in awe listening to her tell stories about growing up without a father and helping her mother raise her siblings. She made these stories seem as if they were great adventures. But as an adult I realized how difficult it must have been for her. The song is about this amazing lady and about how she continues to be so strong in front of whatever obstacle life throws her way."
