PROPAGANDHI haben den Kanadischen "Echo" für ihr Songwriting gewonnen.
Die Band gab folgendes Statement:
"In a true testament to the power of people clicking small buttons on internet websites, Propagandhi have been declared the winner (by an overwhelming majority it is rumoured) of SOCANs 1st annual ECHO Songwriting Prize for the song A Speculative Fiction."
Obwohl die Band versicherte, das Preisgeld in Höhe von $5000 einem guten Zweck zukommen zu lassen, gab Frontman Chris Hannah später in eine E-Mail an G7 zu, dass er das Geld sehr gerne in research and develpment of the worlds first-ever two-sided condom investieren würde.
