SHADOWS FALL Frontmann Brian Fair hat folgendes Update über das neue Album Threads Of Life (VÖ 30. März 2007) abgegeben:

„Lots of stuff going on in the world of SHADOWS FALL these days. We are eagerly awaiting the release of [the new SHADOWS FALL album] 'Threads of Life' on April 3rd and are currently gearing up for the Jägermeister Music Tour with our friends in STONE SOUR and LACUNA COIL. We have been at home for a LONG time so there is a lot of pent up energy set to explode when we hit the stage in March!! We plan on debuting a few new songs from 'Threads of Life' as well as working some older tunes back into the rotation."

„This week we are launching the official SHADOWS FALL YouTube.com Channel. To celebrate its birth, we will also begin releasing a bunch of video webisodes documenting the writing and recording process of 'Threads of Life'. We shot a bunch of footage at our practice space, Studio 606 and a few local bars and are excited to bring you what we've cut together so you can get a glimpse into the making of the album. Keep an eye out for a few surprise guest appearances!!!"

Threads Of Life wird Songs wie "Redemption", "Burning the Lives", "Another Hero Lost" und "Venomous" beinhalten. Der Mixing Prozess wurde gerade abgeschlossen mit Zeuss (HATEBREED, UNEARTH). Nick Raskulinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER) produzierte die Platte in Los Angeles in Dave Grohl's Studio 606.

„Nick helped us to push our performances to new heights and experiment a lot more with vocal harmonies and guitar layers that have really added new dimensions to these songs," Fair previously said. "This record has a real ebb and flow throughout, covering a wide variety of emotions and levels of intensity. There are the full-on thrash tunes, just balls-out and metal, some technical shred tunes and some acoustic melodic moments that offer a nice contrast to the more brutal moments."

Wie bereits verkündet wurde, wird Schlagzeuger Jason Bittner ein Buch über seine Drumming-Künste herausbringen. Dazu Bittner, „This book will include full transcription charts for the whole 'War Within' record, three songs off 'Art of Balance' ('Thoughts', 'Destroyer', 'Idiot Box'), plus three songs from 'Fallout' ('In Effigy', 'Will to Rebuild' and 'Going, Going, Gone'). Also included will be a play-along CD of the entire 'War Within' album without drum tracks so the listener can play along as well, as well as my three-part 'double-bass crash course' that was printed [last] year in Modern Drummer, plus interviews, pics, etc."
