Hüsker Dü - Everything falls apart and more

This effort from the Huskers’ is a far cry from their latter day incarnation. Extremely fast and aggressive Hardcore Punk with Bob Mould screaming out lyrics like a madman. Unusually for a Husker Du album, some of the lyrics are political in nature, songs such as ‘M.I.C.’ and ‘In a free land’. But there are some pockets of melody present in the likes of the title track and the aforementioned ‘In a free land’, which are an indication of things to come. Whilst this is a very noisy and therefore overlooked part of Husker Du’s catalogue, it is nevertheless a crucial part of early 80’s hardcore history.
