“‘Final Thoughts’ slowly became one of my favorite songs we’ve recorded. The song is about watching someone you love disregard every responsibility, friends, family, and their own life. Watching them destroy their life slowly and suffer the consequences. This is me trying to comprehend their thinking but I don’t think I will never be able to grasp it.”
