Ziemlich genau ein Jahr nach der Veröffentlichung des letzten Schmuckstückes der "Take Action!" Compilation Reihe erscheint Volume 6. Das Sub City Label, bei dessen Releases immer ein Teil der Einnahmen einem gemeinnützigen Zweck zugute kommt, setzt diesmal noch eine Schippe drauf und kommt mit einem dicken Paket aus 2 CDs und einer DVD in die Läden.
43 Audiotracks und 29 Videos ist das eindrucksvolle quantitative Statement, welches durch eine gelungene Mischung aus angesagten Chartstürmern wie MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, TAKING BACK SUNDAY oder RISE AGAINST und jungen Potentialen wie PARAMORE, DAMIERA oder MEG & DIA auch qualitativ zwischen Punk, Hardcore und Indie zu überzeugen weiß. Erneut findet man rare Tracks wie die "The Ponytail Parades" Akustikversion von EMERY oder bisher unreleastes Material von SO THEY SAY, CRASH ROMEO, SELF AGAINST CITY, THE HONORARY TITEL oder THE SECRET HANDSHAKE. Auch gut informierte Genrefreunde werden auf "Take Action! Vol. 6" die eine oder andere neue Band für sich entdecken oder sich einfach nur über die schicken Videos freuen können, die eine schöne Alternative zur pixeligen YouTube-Qualität darstellen. Der äußerst faire Preis macht das dargebotene Paket nahezu perfekt und so bleibt "Take Action!" einmal mehr mein Favorit unter den Compilations.
