Mit "Taedium" stellen die Hardcorepunker von WESTERN ADDICTION einen weiteren neuen Song ihres Albums "" vor, welches am 10. Maerz via Fat Wreck erscheint. Frontmann Jason Hall erklaert:

"This song was originally called “Taedium Vitae” which translates to “weariness of life.” It was written long before the dire situation the world is currently in, but resonates exponentially at this moment in time. The song is very special to us for several reasons. It perfectly sums up the entire theme of our new record, which is anxiety, anguish, worry, and dread. It also features one of our favorite humans, Todd Kowalski of Propagandhi. He’s one of the most powerful singers I’ve ever seen live and we deeply respect him and Propagandhi on several levels. We are honored to have him sing on the record. Lastly, the song is also an homage to “The Four Horsemen” by Metallica, which we spend a great deal of time discussing. An interesting side note: the woman featured in the lyric video, Mary Woronov, worked with Andy Warhol and was in Rock ‘n’ Roll High School and Suicidal Tendencies’ “Institutionalized” video. It doesn’t get cooler than that."
